As we close out the month of February and wish Winter away, we can't help but have warm weather hopes as we welcome March. Even though Midwest/Nebraska spring is illusive and rarely shows its face during March, mentally I'm in spring mode the moment the clocks strikes 3/1. It's the unofficial kickoff and it signifies that there's more cold weather behind us rather than ahead of us! So in the spirit of summoning an early spring, we've rounded up three outfit ideas for your spring outings!
Spring Outfit Idea #1 - The Farmer's Market
Maybe it's the grocery shopping fan in me and wanna be chef, but goodness gracious I sure do love a good Farmer's Market outing! From the bountiful bundles of produce, to the homemade salsa and jams, to the gorgeous freshly picked flowers; nothing embodies the season of spring more than a Farmer's Market. Not to mention all the folks that bring their dogs! Need I say more?
After many'a market showings, I can say with certainty that the best option is cute and casual with comfortable shoes! The MVP of this outfit is definitely going to be your trusty jean jacket. I personally think a denim jacket is the most valuable wardrobe asset, especially during those transitional months. Pair that jacket with a graphic tee, leggings, and white sneakers for an effortlessly cool and classic ensemble!
Spring Outfit Idea #2 - Patio Dining
Where are all of my patio patrons at?! If given the opportunity, I will always choose an outdoor dining moment over sitting indoors. Whether it's dive bar beers or a fancy brunch, I've never met a patio I didn't feel right at home at. Nothing says warm weather leisurely daytime adventures on a sunny day like cold drinks, great company and conversation with a touch of sun-kissed skin.
So as you plan your first patio party of 2022, consider keeping your look simple yet striking with a linen mini dress, a pair of gladiator sandals, gold hoop earrings, and a wide brim hat!
Spring Outfit Idea #3 - Outdoor Concerts
There's truly nothing I love more than live music! And add an outdoor venue to the equation, and boom, we have concert gold. The Omaha-Metro area is home to so many amazing outdoor music spaces; from Stir concert cove in Council Bluffs, to Memorial, Stinson and Turner Parks in Dundee, Midtown, and Aksarben, to Sumter amphitheater in Papillion, and the Pinewood Bowl outside of Lincoln - there's never a shortage of live music moments. No matter what your genre preference is, the summer concert season is sure to serve up awesome headliner lineups!
And as an experienced outdoor concert goer, I have to say there's no better, tried and true, outfit duo than your favorite figure flattering jeans and simple tank top! Throw your hair up and out of the way with a tousled high ponytail or slicked back in a sexy high bun and accessorize with a crossbody bag and simple dainty necklace!
Now that we've shared our top three outfit ideas for your spring outings, we want you to spill your go-to looks for all your favorite warm weather activities!
